In the story below, ALEX AND ANI Westfield shares how a gentleman came in searching for gifts for his girlfriend who is ill.

We recently had a customer come in who worked with one of our seasonal bartenders, Christol. He came in for a very special reason and Christol was moved to tears when he shared his story with him. The gentleman’s significant other, who he has been with for two years, was diagnosed with a painful illness that forces her to Arizona for treatment. She is not only leaving him, but her entire family behind. The gentleman was incredibly positive and optimistic about finding her a bangle and just about the situation in general. He finally selected four Charity by Design bangles: Hero, Champion, Gift Box and Butterfly. Though he was buying these bangles to represent her, we view him as a hero, and we’re incredibly inspired by his support of her as she leaves to go get well in Arizona.
